Bolillos & Telera
Crisp-crusted, pillowy-soft rolls baked fresh every morning. The foundation of a perfect torta — or the simplest pleasure you'll find all week.
Orland, California
For generations, the Reyes family has baked with the same hands that first shaped dough in Mexico — slow-fermented, wood-oven finished, and served with the kind of warmth that turns strangers into regulars.
Our Story
Panaderia Reyes opened its doors on 4th Street in Orland with a simple conviction: that bread should taste like something your grandmother would recognize, even if she's never left this valley. Our recipes carry the lineage of Mexican baking — the bolillos with their shatteringly crisp crusts, the conchas dusted in sugar like morning frost, the rosca that appears only when the season asks for it.
Every morning, our ovens are lit before sunrise. We knead by hand, we wait — sometimes overnight — and we never compromise on ingredients. What comes out on the other side isn't just food. It's a tradition that refuses to be rushed.
What We Make
Crisp-crusted, pillowy-soft rolls baked fresh every morning. The foundation of a perfect torta — or the simplest pleasure you'll find all week.
Our conchas come in every shade — vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, rose — each one a small work of edible art. Paired with our pan dulce, they're the reason people drive from three towns over.
Dark-roasted Mexican coffee, brewed with piloncillo and cinnamon the old way. Served in a clay cup or a porcelain one — either way, it's an experience.
Hand-wrapped in corn husks and steamed to perfection. Available on weekends and for special occasions — every bite carries the same care as the day they were first made.

Why It Matters
It's the reason we show up at 4 a.m. It's the reason we still hand-stretch every tortilla and let every batch proof the way it wants to. At Panaderia Reyes, the process isn't hidden — it's the whole point.
No machines replacing hands. Every shape, every fold, every crust is formed by the same pair of hands that started this tradition.
Real butter, real piloncillo, real cinnamon sticks. We source what we can and refuse to substitute when we can't.
We're not a chain. We're your neighbors. The regulars who come in daily know our names, and we know theirs.
Come As You Are
